Located at the intersection of two main roads on the edge of Subiaco’s commercial precinct, the Westgate development provides over 5,000 square metres of floor space across three levels. The mixed-use building includes office tenancies on the upper levels, with retail tenancies at ground level.
The building’s design incorporates a combination of glazed curtain walling, glazed aluminium window systems, and texture-coated precast concrete panels across its three street-facing facades. These elements were selected to meet both architectural intent and performance requirements for thermal efficiency and durability.
The triangular shape of the site, coupled with its location on a busy corner, created logistical challenges during construction. Careful planning was required to manage deliveries, coordinate trades within a constrained footprint, and maintain public safety throughout the build.
Despite these constraints, the project was delivered to a high standard and demonstrates Byte’s capability in managing complex sites with limited access, while achieving strong architectural outcomes.
