Wangara Waste Transfer Station Upgrade

Wannerroo Waste Management facility upgrade

Byte Construct has successfully completed the upgrade works at the Wangara Waste Transfer Station for the City of Wanneroo, delivering a modernised facility that enhances waste management capacity and operational efficiency across the region.

The comprehensive refurbishment improves the station’s functionality as a key drop‑off and transfer point for refuse collection vehicles, supporting the efficient movement of waste to recycling and disposal facilities. Works included an extension of the existing shed, construction of new waste bunkers, installation of access roller doors, and upgraded exterior cladding to improve durability and performance.

Significant siteworks were undertaken, including a new retaining wall and loading lane, upgraded stormwater infrastructure, new roadways and fencing, and improved vehicle circulation for safer, more efficient operations. The project also incorporated major service upgrades across electrical, mechanical, fire and hydraulic systems, delivering improved air quality, compliance and long‑term reliability.

The upgraded facility is expected to more than double operational efficiency, supporting the City of Wanneroo’s sustainability objectives and growing service demands.

Byte Construct is proud to deliver infrastructure that strengthens communities and supports essential public services.
