Byte were engaged to undertake the design and construction of the new control building at Pinjar Power Station (a 500mw gas turbine automated generation plant.) including the office and control centre.
The design of the control building was that it must align with the Synergy reference documents in relation to the functional areas, services and specifications.
To satisfy the requirements of the brief, Byte opted for a steel frame building clad in insulated panels, which will provide operating life in-excess of 25 years.
The construction took into account the location with regards to bushfire risks and cyclonic wind loadings. The technical requirements of the control room have been documented in line with Synergy’s brief.
Works were completed in October 2021.
