Murdoch University Laboratory Tutorial Room

The fit-out project at Murdoch University’s Mandurah campus marks a significant milestone in our long-standing partnership with the University. This initiative was part of the University’s efforts to enhance and expand teaching spaces.

Byte Construct was tasked with transforming existing theatre and tutorial rooms into new, high-quality tutorial rooms and Hi-Fidelity labs. These upgrades are designed to support increased placements for nursing students and provide versatile spaces for the local community.

Key highlights of the project included localized removal of existing fit-out elements and staged demolition, allowing for the ongoing use of the theatre front area. Comprehensive upgrades were made to electrical, mechanical, and fire services to ensure compliance with current building codes. The project also involved the installation of new flooring, paint finishes, and specialized audio-visual systems, along with the extension of the existing compressed air pipework for the new Hi-Fidelity labs.

All this work was completed while maintaining the campus’ operational integrity and prioritizing the safety of students and staff. Our team’s expertise in managing projects in live environments ensured effective access and egress strategies, keeping patrons and staff safe.

We are proud to contribute to the educational experience at Murdoch University and look forward to continuing successful collaborations in the future.
