Central Park L42 Balcony

Byte Construct’s scope for Balcony works to Level 42 Central Park included:

  • removal of existing curtain wall facade to allow connection into the existing offices
  • new tiling to existing balcony/roof including concrete works to form parapet
  • new glazed fencing with stainless steel handrails.

As the office connected to the balcony was fully occupied during working hours, acoustic barriers including an access door to the cut-out were installed.

The tiled floor on the roof area included full new screed to falls and was set out to accommodate existing hydraulics.  New lighting was added to the area including lighting within the handrails.

This project allowed for out of hours deliveries and noisy works within an existing tenanted building. It also required additional safety due to working at height issues.
