In 1985, 6PR moved to its current location at 169 Hay Street. While still functioning effectively, the studios required a technology and studio refresh.
To ensure uninterrupted 24/7 broadcasting, we built new studios, demolished old ones, and created high-tech IT server and recording rooms, staff amenities, office spaces, and an atrium courtyard.
We carefully programmed the project around the two existing broadcast studios, ensuring no disruptions to operations. Noisy tasks were scheduled during songs, ads, and news breaks.
The new state-of-the-art studio exceeded 6PR’s expectations, and we met the original completion date, managed variation works, and maintained zero work-related incidents.
