ECU SW Building 9 & 10

Refurbished clinical corridor at ECU Bunbury campus with built-in storage cabinets and modern ceiling lighting.

Byte Construct recently delivered the comprehensive refurbishment of two buildings at ECU’s Bunbury campus. The project involved significant upgrades to support modern training, clinical practice, and student learning environments.

Paramedic Training Facility (Building 9) – works began with a full internal strip-out of the existing space, followed by construction and f it-out of a purpose-designed paramedic training facility. During early stages, it was identified that the building required a roof replacement, which was incorporated into the project to ensure long-term structural performance.

Key inclusions included a large group training room, dedicated Phlebotomy multiple consult rooms and staff support spaces including new offices and a staff kitchen. These upgrades were designed to provide ECU students with a high quality, contemporary clinical learning environment aligned with industry standards.

Roof Replacement & Vario Clinic Facilities (Building 10) – the scope for Building 10 commenced with a full roof replacement, ensuring long-term integrity and improved building performance. Additional works included restoration of the existing multipurpose court and construction of new rooms to accommodate a modern Vario clinic.

Both buildings received upgraded mechanical services, seamlessly integrated into ECU’s existing campus-wide system. This network is centrally managed via the ECU Joondalup campus, allowing for coordinated control, energy efficiency, and consistent environmental performance across the facility.

Byte Construct is proud to have delivered these high-quality room, refurbishments, enhancing ECU’s ability to provide specialised training and clinical education in the Southwest region. The project strengthens our ongoing partnership with ECU’s Bunbury campus.
