Murdoch University engaged Byte to upgrade the existing Murdoch Guild café, known as Kadjininy, to enhance the student experience. The central hub, located within the Murdoch Library, needed to be improved to provide a social and functional space for students to gather and take a break.
The fit-out included upgrades to the front-of-house and back-of-house facilities, with a focus on improving overall functionality, efficiency, and design. During construction, a temporary coffee cart was erected outside the library to cater to students’ caffeine needs. The result is a space that encourages students to gather, bond, and grow.
The official opening was centered around the theme of community and gathering, and Murdoch Guild was grateful to have introduced a new space to students that embodies the meaning of Kadjininy – hearing, understanding, and knowing. Byte is proud to have been involved in such an important and rewarding project.
