We were engaged by MCB to refurbish the entry to the condolence lounge and toilet facilities of Norfolk Chapel at Karrakatta Cemetery, with a staged approach allowing funeral services to continue in the adjoining chapel.
The new facade featured bespoke steel-framed doors and glazing with a unique pattern. Completing the project within a fixed timeframe was crucial for pre-planned funerals, requiring careful pre-planning of supporting structures, facade detailing, glazing, and operable walls.
The project was carried out with utmost consideration for the sensitive nature of the surrounding environment.
