Byte Construct was engaged to design and construct the new control building at Pinjar Power Station, a 500MW gas turbine automated generation plant, which included both office and control centre spaces. The design had to align with Synergy’s reference documents, ensuring the functional areas, services, and specifications were met.
To achieve the project requirements, Byte opted for a steel frame building clad in insulated panels, providing an operating life exceeding 25 years. The construction process carefully considered the location’s bushfire risks and cyclonic wind loadings, while the technical requirements of the control room were meticulously documented in accordance with Synergy’s brief.
Successfully completed in October 2021, this project showcased Byte Construct’s ability to deliver a high-quality, durable control building that met the stringent requirements set forth by Synergy.
