Our project, Morley Recreation Centre, was successful in taking out the Excellence in Steel Clad Structures Award, a huge achievement that highlights the innovative and complex design we embarked on. Thank you to Greg Harbour for nominating this project and for Metroll’s essential collaboration in bringing this vision to life.
The unique roof structure, a true feat in design, was developed with a meticulous approach to balance aesthetics with functionality. Crafted from precision-engineered steel panels, the roof was designed to integrate seamlessly with the centre’s architecture, showcasing both durability and elegance. Each section was carefully pieced together and erected on-site, reflecting the synergy of advanced materials and expert craftsmanship.
We’re now headed to the National Steel Excellence Awards in Sydney on November 21st – here’s hoping we can bring a national win back to WA! 🏆
