
Byte Construct are pleased to announce, together with Parry and Rosenthal Architects, the award of All Saints’ Science Block Extensions and Alterations at the existing college in Bull Creek. The works comprise of an extension to the existing science block to create a sixth laboratory, together with the conversion of the existing maintenance workshop, staff room, office & store adjacent to create a further seventh laboratory.
The demolition works include a full strip internally as well as removal of the existing roof covering. A new steel framed support structure will be installed before the existing concrete tiles are reinstated. The new laboratories six and seven will be linked together via newly formed entrances and all aluminium windows and doors will be replaced. Services upgrades will be carried out, together with new floor and wall finishes and installation of specialist laboratory benching.
The existing tiled canopies surrounding the whole science block are also being demolished and replaced with feature polycarbonate Danpalon inverted roof canopies. Further works include extensive hard landscaping to replace the existing car park area and feature seating installations .
