Byte was entrusted with the design and construction of Pinjar Power Station’s new control building, a 500 MW gas turbine automated generation plant, encompassing both the office and control centre. The control building’s design had to adhere to Synergy’s reference documents concerning functional areas, services, and specifications.
To meet these requirements, Byte chose a steel frame building clad in insulated panels, ensuring an operating life of over 25 years. The construction factored in the location’s bushfire risks and cyclonic wind loadings, while the control room’s technical requirements were documented in line with Synergy’s brief.
Completed in October 2021, Byte’s expertise has powered up this vital control centre, demonstrating our commitment to delivering reliable and innovative solutions in the utilities sector.
